Paris at Dawn
(Paris à l'aube)
"Like when you wake up at the end of winter, and the air smells of spring…"
April 23, 2013. The French Senate is holding a historic vote on same-sex marriage. Jack and François return home to their Parisian apartment to find a wall has been torn down by their neighbors, Marine and Sam. As Paris floods with riots outside, the only option for the two couples is to spend the day together. Paris at Dawn is the story of their journey to coexistence, love, and acceptance of each other and themselves.
A selection was included in Smith & Kraus' Best Men's Stage Monologues 2016. Available here.
